ALMA
is a residence in Colonia La Lejona where seniors are lovingly
cared for regardless of their ability to pay. ALMA was started
in 1996 by Margaret Galloway and Carmina Casas and houses
34 people at a time. ALMA means soul in Spanish, and that
is what ALMA brings to its residents, soul.
ALMA provides residents with shelter, food,
medicine and care. Contributing is a wonderful way to give
back to your community and to help a worthy and often forgotten
cause. You can make a huge difference in someone else’s
